A sad time for supporters of football below the Premier League as the UK Conservative Party Leader Kemi Badenoch tells the Daily T podcast (Telegraph newspaper) that she and her party are against the formation of an Independent Regulator of Football which her party began before the 2024 general election.

Clearly, this has not gone down well with various groups who wish to see an Independent Football Regulator including the FSA who pointed out various things in a statement to Conservative Leaders comments of a regulator being a “waste of money”.
