Shrewsbury Town Memorial Garden

The Official Supporters’ Club is proud to support the Shrewsbury Town Memorial Garden, helping to ensure it remains a fitting and peaceful place to remember supporters and members of the Shrewsbury Town family who are sadly no longer with us. Over the years, the OSC has contributed towards the funding, planting and ongoing maintenance of the garden, working to preserve this special space for supporters to visit, reflect and remember. Supporting the Memorial Garden remains an important part of our commitment to the wider Shrewsbury Town community.

History

Shrewsbury Town Supporters Parliament along with the OSC, Super Blues, Shrewsbury Town Football Club and the club's Chaplin Reverend Phil Cansdale created a permanent memorial space within the Meadow's grounds for supporters, players and staff.

On 25th May 2016, work began on an area of land at Shrewsbury Town's (then called) Greenhous Meadow with support from Asset Surface Management.

The work on the Memorial Garden continued with the Shrewsbury Town Official Supporters Club providing roses for the bedding plants and the centre piece of the garden being a flowering cherry tree.
