The Shrewsbury Town Official Supporters Club (OSC) launches the Town Times, Shrewsbury Town’s new fan-led matchday programme.

The OSC is delighted to announce the launch of the Town Times – a brand-new, independent fan-led matchday programme, made by the fans, for the fans and the very first edition will be available for Town’s home game against Barnet.
Following the decision by the club to discontinue the traditional matchday programme last season, the OSC began looking at whether supporters themselves could bring something back to fill the gap.
That idea has quickly gathered momentum – and Town Times is now a reality!
The first special edition will be a 16-page programme packed with original content, bringing together a fantastic group of Town supporters, writers and contributors.

Adrian Plimmer, who has taken on the role of Programme Editor has done a fantastic job pulling together the content, contributors and ideas needed to turn Town Times from an idea into reality, with great support from everyone in the OSC involved.
Among those contributing to the first edition are well respected journalists and Town fans Tyrone Marshall, and Chris Hudson, alongside a growing number of familiar faces and voices from across the Shrewsbury Town fanbase.
The aim is simple: to create something supporters will genuinely enjoy reading on a matchday – and something worth keeping afterwards.
OSC Chairman Chris Allen said:
«“I’m absolutely delighted that we’ve managed to make Town Times happen. Like so many supporters, I was really disappointed when the programme disappeared last season because I think it’s part of the fabric of going to a football match.
“Many thanks to go to Adrian Plimmer, the OSC committee and all the brilliant group of contributors and volunteers, who have helped turn what was initially just an idea into something we can actually hold in our hands on matchday."
“What makes Town Times particularly exciting is that this genuinely is being created by supporters. We’ve got some brilliant contributors involved already and loads of enthusiasm and ideas about where we can take it.
“There’s something special about buying a programme, having a read before kick-off and then finding it again years later and immediately remembering the game, the players and the people you were there with."
“It’s another example of what we want the OSC to be about – bringing supporters together and making positive things happen for Town fans.
“So please pick up a copy against Barnet, support the people who have put so much work into making it happen and let us know what you think. This is your programme.”
Town Times will complement the OSC’s growing range of supporter-led initiatives following the launch of its new membership scheme, including free membership, which has already seen membership increase by more than 300% in less than a month.
And the OSC hopes the first edition will be just the beginning.
There are already plenty of ideas for future editions, with the aim of bringing together news, views, memories, history, humour and the voices of supporters from across the Town fanbase.
The first-ever new Town Times will be available at the Barnet game.
It will be available in the STFC Fanzone pre-match and also other outlets which will be announced ahead of the match.

Made by the fans. For the fans.
