Sky Sports News break the new that Shrewsbury Town Football Club plan to build the first Safe Standing area in the English Football League.


The plans are revealed for the EFL's first Safe Standing area at the Montgomery Waters Meadow within the Salop Leisure Stand.

Shrewsbury Town Football Club and Supporters Parliament launch the crowd funding campaign to be the first club in the English Football League to install a Safe Standing area in a stadium. John Darch of the Safe Standing Roadshow came to answer supporter's questions about the Rail Seat System.

The Supporters' Parliament's pioneering project to bring the first Safe Standing area in the English Football League to the Montgomery Waters Meadow within the Salop Leisure Stand is complete & supporters were able to see and use the new facility at the first game of the 2018/19 season against Bradford City, which unfortunately was a 0-1 defeat but it didn't lower people excitement.
